About Us

Mike and Jeremy met socially at a party in 2008 and began dating in 2009 after Mike asked Jeremy out on Facebook. Yup, old school. They’ve spent the last 15 years of their lives together, working, playing, traveling, and updating their 1930’s flat one baby step at a time. Jeremy and Mike enjoy many common interests, including the arts, food, travel, and music. After many years contemplating, Jeremy and Mike finally married in 2022, finding the wait time for even a marriage license in San Francisco was 3 months during COVID. On a trade show in Vegas, they met with a delayed flight, prompting Jeremy to ask Mike, “So… do you want to go back to the pool today or do you want to get married?” To no surprise, expediting a marriage license, rings and ceremony in Vegas all took place within 3 hours. So at last, after 15 years, and a pair of rings, it’s time to celebrate!

About Mike

Mike is the middle child of three and only son in a proud family of Chinese descent, born and raised in Manila. As a child prodigy at 6 years old, he was invited to the palace to play the organ for Imelda herself - although he could barely reach both pedals and keys at the same time; she rewarded him a lipstick kiss on his cheek! While studying at De La Salle University, Mike joined a band of high school friends playing 80’s music and compositions of their own - and he still plays the keyboards by ear. Mike moved to California to attend Stanford University and complete his master’s degree in electrical engineering. He has been a trailblazer in circuit design ever since with some 45 patents to date, focusing on top-secret nerdy projects that spice up things electronic. Somewhere along the line, he moved to San Francisco in search of vibrant city life. Mike loves spending time with Jeremy, EDM music, solving mysteries and fixing broken gadgets as a sport.

About Jeremy

Jeremy grew up a native Californian, the eldest of 7 children. After high school and a few semesters at Brigham Young University (Utah), he served an honorable LDS church service mission in Taiwan for two years. He returned to complete his Pre-Med/Mandarin degree at BYU, and studied at Nanjing University, China. Needless to say, after many years of service and soul-searching… he's happily retired from Mormonism. Jeremy returned to the Bay Area after undergrad, working several years in dental, then corporate HR jobs. Finding no joy in this, he escaped to San Francisco to pursue a Master’s in Interior Architecture &  Design at Academy of Art University and completed through UC Berkeley extension. As a designer, Jeremy has worked on 4-5 star luxury and boutique hotels, restaurants, spas, and higher-end private residences- from interior details to furniture design- and loves it. Jeremy volunteered and served on the local non-profit NEWH board for over 10 years, and continues to enjoy camaraderie and collaboration with other creatives and industry friends. Design aside, Jeremy enjoys spending time with Mike, socializing with friends and family, growing green things, rare rides on the Vespa, and exploring the neighborhoods, woods, and beaches around San Francisco.
